Mayoral proclamation
Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. | Keene City Council meeting
Mayor George Hansel read a proclamation designating October as “Energy Awareness Month” in Keene. The proclamation reaffirms the City’s commitment to its adopted energy goals, and encourages residents, businesses, and others to get involved by attending local events planned throughout the month.
“Gather” virtual film screening and discussion

A powerful documentary that traces the intentional destruction of Native American foodways and the renaissance to reclaim indigenous agriculture and food systems. This screening is co-hosted with Monadnock International Film Festival and Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition.

Virtual tour of homes powered by solar
Oct. 20 | Clean Energy Keene website
18 homeowners share the stories, frustrations, and triumphs of generating their own energy with solar panels and making their homes more energy-efficient. Their stories, along with photos, drone imagery, and an interactive map comprise a virtual tour of Keene homes powered by the sun.

Community forum on 100% renewable goals
Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. | City of Keene
The city of Keene is hosting a community forum with an update on our progress toward our 100% renewable energy goal and an opportunity to provide feedback. Attendees will choose from three break-out sessions. Each session will do a deep dive into one of three priority actions: Community Power, Home Energy Labeling/Benchmarking, and Electrification of the Transportation Sector.
Monadnock Sustainability Hub annual meeting featuring a community roundtable discussion: The progress of climate action across the Monadnock Region

From solar energy projects to pioneering community power, to climate change awareness campaigns – local leaders will give us an update on the progress of their town’s climate action initiatives. Hosted by the Monadnock Sustainability Hub, this roundtable discussion will be a great opportunity to connect and build relationships with other Monadnock towns and evoke some collaboration among our communities.
Local Energy Solutions Conference
Oct. 29 – 30 | Clean Energy New Hampshire
Hosted by Clean Energy NH, New Hampshire’s premier conference for clean energy convenes local energy champions, policymakers, municipal officials, town staff, regulators, and industry representatives. The conference draws 350+ attendees from across the Northeast, over 50 expert speakers and presenters, and dozens of top-notch sponsors and exhibitors.
