In 2050, the City of Keene will be a thriving and resilient community powered by affordable, clean, and renewable energy. All electricity and energy used for heating, cooling, and transportation will come from renewable energy sources.

The City of Keene Energy and Climate Committee meets monthly to advance the goals of this ambitious plan.  This meeting is open to the public.

How will we get there?

Community Power is a key component of the plan. This allows the City of Keene to bulk purchase clean, green energy on behalf of all Keene residents who choose to join the program.

Energy Conservation is an additional important tool in achieving 100% clean energy.

Local solar brings control over our own electricity.

Electrifying our lives, powering our transportation, heating, cooling and appliances with clean, green electricity, is a further goal.
